What's shipped, and when.
RPlan has no testimonials. This page is the record instead: what has changed in the app, and any bugs I've fixed (or created for later), so you can see what's going on behind the scenes.

Clearer focus and plainer copy
- New typeface. RPlan now uses your device's system fonts, SF Pro and SF Mono on Apple devices, instead of downloaded web fonts. Pages load fewer files and no longer contact Google Fonts.
- Passkey sign-in button. "Sign in with a passkey" now looks like the Log in button and sits closer to it.
- Trip preview on small screens. The Kyoto preview on the home page now shrinks to fit narrow screens instead of being cut off.
- Emails and PDFs. The confirm-email message now matches the other emails, email buttons use dark text on green so they're readable, and the trip PDF and emails use the new fonts and clearer empty-state wording.
- Keyboard use in the app. The custom buttons (New trip, Add bag, Cancel and similar) can be reached with Tab and pressed with Enter or Space, and icon buttons have labels for screen readers.
- Keyboard focus is easier to see. Buttons, links and form fields now show a clear green outline when you tab to them, in light and dark mode.
- Plainer wording. Small copy fixes across the home, features, assistant, about and changelog pages, and a few empty states in the app. Example trips on the site are now labelled as examples.
- About page. The note on how AI is used in building RPlan now matches how it is actually used.
- Motion. The live location pulse and the pass dots stop animating if your device is set to reduce motion.

RPlan on your phone
- The RPlan app. RPlan now has a proper iPhone app, with everything in your signed-in account: trips, plans, days, the checklist, packing, places, the map and your settings. It works offline, keeping your trips on the phone and syncing when you're back online.
- Built for the day itself. On a trip day a Live Activity shows what's next on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, home and Lock Screen widgets tick your checklist and show today's plans, and Siri can tell you what's next or tick something off. Reminders for plans and trips arrive as notifications, and with RPlan Pro the location log can record your route in the background.
- Passkeys. Add a passkey under Account, Security and sign in with Face ID or your fingerprint instead of a password, on the web and in the app. A passkey replaces the two-step code, and you can still use your password.
- Easier to read. Secondary text, green text and the labels on green and teal buttons were darkened to meet WCAG AA contrast, on the web and in the app. Date ranges now read "14 to 24 Sep 2026", and the decorative dot on the Ask and Suggest buttons is gone.
- RPlan Pro in the app. Subscribe from the app through the App Store. If you already subscribe on the web, the app says so and there is nothing to buy twice.
- Delete your account. Account, Security now has a delete option, on the web and in the app. It stays recoverable for 30 days, then it's gone for good.
- Access codes that never expire now stay valid. Codes created with no expiry date were being marked expired by the scheduler, so they stopped working. They keep working now, and a code's expiry has to be a real date.
- Passwords. Changing or resetting a password now needs at least 12 characters, the same as signing up, and resetting one signs you out on your other devices. A disabled account is told so at the login form, and the sign-up switch is respected everywhere.
- Takeout import fixes. A place someone else had saved no longer stops you importing it, a Google category you don't have falls back to General, and a photo that can't be downloaded or a bad row in the file is skipped instead of stopping the import.
- Packing and places stay tidy. Deleting a bag, item or place now cleans up everything that pointed at it, an item's weight change updates the totals on every trip that uses it, and a public page address that cleans down to under three letters is refused.

- New maps. Maps now come from OpenFreeMap, drawn right in your browser, so they stay crisp on high resolution screens. The satellite view on shared trip pages is unchanged.

Big trips stay quick
- Bigger trips load faster. A number of fixes have been introduced to make trips load faster, the routing API has been improved so its even more accurate, everything should feel overall "snappier" now.

The shared trip page is a map now
- Public sharing page redesign. I've redesigned the public shared trip page from the start, it now uses all available screen space with the map taking much more priority, it shows where places actually are on a map, and for access codes that have location enabled, correctly follows the trip owner around.

Improved sorting and dragging
- The bags now come to you. Dragging a packing item while the bags are scrolled off the top of the page pops up a slim bar of all your bags so you can drag items without needing to scroll the page back up.
- Block selecting text in a checklist item name or note no longer triggers the checklist resorter.
- Reordering lists looks bette, reordering checklists, undated days, and packing items now brings a full block with them, rather than floating elements.
- Plan days can now be collapsed in the itinerary view, these are persisted so your expanded and collapsed days persist on page reloads.
- Fixed some further spacing and random line issues with the itinerary view.
- Drag a day plan onto a date. You can now drag an undated day directly into the itinerary view, and that day will switch into the date you've dragged it into.
- The trip page fits the screen. On desktop, your trip pages now have improved scrolling; the itinerary/table/map view scrolls independently of the right sidebar, so you scroll further through your trip, while still keeping an eye on the checklist or your packed items.
- Weights now scale Once a bag reaches 1KG it now shows values in KG, rather than G.
- Total packed weight, at a glance. Total packed weight now show on the trip page, dashboard and on the past trips table.

Minor bug fix
- Fixed a blank space where an icon used to be beside an item's category in the packing table and on the exported PDF. Categories are identified by their colour now, so both show the colour.

A new public site
- The public site has been rebuilt. A new, fresh design. Completely rebuild to make it easier to maintain and to make it more accessible.
- The screenshots are now the real thing. Every product shot on the public site is rendered by the app's own components and stylesheet, so it can't drift out of date.
- The site follows your system's dark mode, no more flash-bangs at 01:00am.
- New changelog page, this one, with a dated record of what's shipped.
- Credits and third-party licences moved to their own page, so About can just be about RPlan.
- Travel times between plans are a Pro feature. They come from Google's Routes API, which bills per request; free accounts see plain free-time figures on their gap rails, as before.
- Fixed teal text being unreadable on dark backgrounds in the assistant panel.
- Marketing pages no longer load the map library or a third-party font they never used.

A new way to add a plan
- Adding a plan is now four clear steps rather than one long form: what it is, when it happens, where it is, and what it costs. The day it will land on is shown beside you as you fill it in, so you can see where the new plan falls before you save it.
- Free time between two plans now shows on the timeline itself, so a day that looks full but isn't, or looks fine but has fifteen minutes between two things on opposite sides of a city, reads at a glance.
- A desktop summary card for the plan you have selected, so checking a booking reference no longer means opening the whole plan for editing.

Trip page fixes
- Fixed the divider under a highlighted plan bending upward where it met the row's rounded corner.
- Clicking a selected plan card now deselects it properly, and rows in the table view respond to a click the same way they do in the timeline.
- Dark mode no longer reintroduces the plan-row divider bug the light theme had already dropped.

- Fixed the bag grid jumping position, editing an item on mobile, the lag when toggling something packed into a bag, and the progress colours on a phone.

- Tag icons are now a proper system rather than a fixed list, now featuring proper icons rather than just emoji.

Livewire rebuild
- Rebuilt the app's interactive parts on Laravel Livewire, so it's easier to maintain and offers a much smoother experience.
- Durations across timezones are now correct, an overnight flight that lands the next morning no longer reports a negative or wildly wrong length.
- Day totals now appear on days where they were previously missing.
- Fixed the date picker being unreadable in dark mode.
- Fixed saving a place from Google returning the wrong place in some cases.
